Originally referred to as simply the Federalist Party, the word Hamiltonian (for Alexander Hamilton) has come to represent all forms of authoritarianism or tyranny. There are two entities sharing his intellectual legacy: the Alexander Hamilton Society, ostensibly for debate and discussion, and the Federalist Party of North America.
